Sunrises

Sunrises
Sunrises vary with each season. In the Spring they glow with the scent of morning dew and morning glory flowers that bloom…only to hide once mid day comes. Summer sunrises are bright with heat and warmth piercing the evening chill reminding us of the commanding presence of the sun…brightening the moon for an extended visit before the day begins. Autumn sunrises softly tiptoe whispering the arrival of the day matching colors of trees in a kaleidoscope of brilliant orange, reds, and yellows. Winter brings sunrises that are loud and trumpet their brilliance as their light reflects off of fallen snow and ice. While a part of the world is deep in winter sleep, the sunrise plays its music reminding us of Spring’s promise for life anew.
